Reverberations
I am deeply dedicated to exploring knowledge through art, embarking on a journey that celebrates the rich heritage of traditional miniature painting. My work draws inspiration from diverse traditions, including Kangra, Pahari, Persian, Chinese, and Japanese art forms, creating a harmonious blend of these influences. My distinctive style revitalizes traditional Sub Continental miniature art by merging classical motifs, such as moonlit landscapes and lotus pools, with contemporary elements, resulting in a unique fusion of tradition and modernity. Central to my artistic vision is the representation of women as symbols of hope and freedom. My work conveys messages of empowerment, evoking profound emotions of love, care, and resilience. I use herbal pigments and watercolors on handmade traditional miniature sheets (WASLI), ensuring authenticity and respect for traditional techniques. My contributions extend beyond academia to include an extensive exhibition history: six solo exhibitions, three two-person shows, and participation in over 50 group exhibitions. I have also completed numerous national and international commissioned works and conducted art workshops in Pakistani art schools. With deep respect and admiration for the transformative power of art, I seek opportunities to contribute my passion and expertise to the global artistic community. Through my artistic and academic endeavors, I aim to inspire, innovate, and elevate the world of contemporary and traditional miniature art.
