conscious [ˈkänSHəs] 의식하는, 자각하는 의식의 서사를 돌고 또 돈다.
사고에 책임을 갖고 있는지, 깨어 있든, 깨어 있지 않든, 생각을 통제할 능력이 있는지. 감지하는 능력, 떠날 수 있을 때 떠나는 것, 멈추고 싶을 때 멈추는 것. 스스로에게 던지는 솔직한 대답.
단어 Framed1)의 중의적인 표현에서 시작된 ‘frameD’는 작품을 둘러싸는 틀의 집합체로, 작품의 모든 것을 재정렬하거나 다른 관점을 부여하며 내린 의미에 책임/권한을 갖게 되는 것은 나 자신이라는 것을 나타낸다. 이 작품에는 경계도, 제한도 없고 그 누구도 기준이 무엇인지, 규칙이 무엇인지 말해 주지 않는다. ‘frameD’는 우리의 시각을 설정하는 오브제(물체)이자 표지판이다.

Is one in charge of one’s mind? Might one have the ability to be in control, either awake or unawakened?
To be aware. To leave when being left. To be able to hit pause when wanting to stop.
An honest reply.
‘frameD’ is a wordplay from the word itself; a structure that surrounds a piece, putting the blame on someone/something, a game where the player rearranges for the outcome to switch, or simply putting a different perspective on an object, where “one” becomes the charge of everything. No boundaries, No limits, and No one to tell you what the average/rules are whatsoever.

‘framed’ is an objet, a pointer to set your ways of seeing to your setting of seeing.
한국계 미국인 크리에이티브 디렉터 겸 예술가로 즐거움을 추구하는 그의 작품들은 유형성, 그리고 유형성과 우리와의 관계를 다룬다. 무형의 주제를 상상치 못한 매체를 통해 시각화해 우리에게 전달하는 그의 작품들이 가진 실험적인 성격은 청중을 독자, 시청자, 제작자로 탈바꿈시킨다.
Phoebe Lee is a Korean-American creative director and artist whose playful work circles around materiality and our relationship with it. Her works are visual communications of intangible subject matters in unexpected mediums. The experimental nature of her practice could transform her audience into viewers,
