What happens to a dream deferred
We often think of contemplation as a state of relaxed submergence into thought, something akin to meditation.The philosophical and profound are all too solemn.There is, however, another state of stillness and pause where sublime thought emerges under immense pressure. It is an agency that has been forced into inaction.In such stillness there is urgency and awaiting, the fate of our most benevolent dreams.
These images are of sculpted radishes, which I have subsequently photographed on the background of my drawings. The process intends to parallel the lives of those who have to care and have to bear our collective suffering as human beings.
