mySERENA asks the following question: we are all here to experience human life, but how? She artistically portrays what is left unsaid by offering humane ideals and conveying a sense of unity with the universe. Since a young age, she has wanted people to look within their heart to find fulfilment and harmony in the midst of all the distractions and expectations imposed upon them. She uses a huge depth and range of colours, abstract forms or fine outlines, contrasting them with empty space to bring the spiritual realm into view. She employs physical mediums to create minimal but intense depictions that encompass tangible and timeless qualities. Her multi-disciplinary knowledge, including music, dance, sport, architecture, mathematics and engineering, is freely expressed in her artistic creation to achieve liberation and enlightenment. She has experimented in oil, acrylic, pastel, Chinese ink and colour pigments on canvas, paper, wood, metal and resin, combining different techniques to deliver “transformation”, a process that reflects here the belief that human ingenuity can provide simple changes in perspective.
