Anti-Automationism
My definitive artistic theme can be called “Anti-Automationism”. The Automationism includes all kinds of art-form where thought and ways are circulating each other. For example, media-art often correlates with science technology. Since the latter guarantees some eternal development, the former always could take some new looks, then can declare their pieces are the “New” Art. Every artist has his own thought, I think, and this kind of correlation between Art and science technology can be definitive way, then he is an automationist.
However, what is the meaning of this “New”? They are circulating among this simple correlation with no outsides, and finally, with no encounters.
As anti-correlationist, or more exactly, as anti-automationist, I will take following 2 disciplines:
Indiscernability between Object and Space
Radical Duality
Is it obvious that we could discern objects in the space? Given some spaces, should we artist make this obvious distinction unclear and should not we obey the temptation that we are content to just put object in space and to be Spatialism?
In addition, if every actual dualism can be suspected, could there be radical duality?
Posing these problems, I created many app and audiovisual piece.
Every true and new creativity comes from encounters, I trust. What is the most important for new experience is finding or rather creating encounters. In doing so, we could defeat the Automationism.
Born in Saitama, Japan, in 1986. Enrolled in Department of Philosophy, Sophia University. Having got master’s degree by writing a master’s thesis about Deleuze’s philosophy. Participated in many international music and art festivals with music, audio-visual pieces, performances, and paper presentations in US, Italy, German, Belgium, England, Korea, China, Thailand, Argentina, Chile, NY, and Japan. A member of ASCAP and Japanese Society for Electronic Music.
