I am trying to sing something useless..
“You are like a hurricane
There’s calm in your eye And I’m gettin’ blown away To somewhere safer where the feeling stays I want to love you but I’m getting blown away Blown away”— Neil Young
Relocating to the city hit me with all kinds of industrialized goods. In this continuous urban noise roaring and wandering everywhere in the daily fast-flowing vision, my time is fractured from the linear time of the external environment, as if left out by the torrent. In a city with a big goal, I became a person who was thrown out without orientation, and I and them (objects) seemed to be blocked from time, creating a kind of flexible conflict. At this point I became aware of myself and tried to sing useless poetry in an overly refined and symbolic everyday life.
Amid the quick pace of everyday life, I feel that quotidian landscapes are constructed by the often-disregarded movements and routines of mundane objects. Scrutinizing each object reveals a meaning beyond its superficial purpose: the possibilities of entanglements between nature and culture, the significance of each unexpected coincidence. With each moment of stillness amid a busy world, minute gestures bring me new meanings and experiences.
