Fiendish acts in cryptid times
The frog, everyone’s alter ego, the hard-pressed individual who seems to be the lowest in nature’s hierarchy, relives this horrific realization of humanity’s moral decline in cinematic stills in a contemporary context. This seemingly naive approach opens the conceptual entry point of the Artworks where the inner dialogue becomes visible to the viewer and describes the frog’s mental state and place in the multidimensional reality that surrounds us. The frogs journey and narrative vary to reflect the psychological game between people in a contemporary setting on the absurdity of our time we live in now.
HC BERG creates sculptures and optical installations that challenges our present perception of reality. The Artworks visually seduce and challenge the viewer to playfully discover and investigate the hidden artistic expression through ingenious digitally developed”visual illusions” a way to master our belief in this communal future challenge facing us in the near future.
