    HAPPY NIGHTMARES

“Happy Nightmares” is an exploration of the intersection between life, death and emotions through a collection of black and white illustrations. Each piece invites viewers into a realm where nature intertwines with the inevitability of mortality. The series focuses on the delicate balance between life and death, darkness and light. The natural elements such as flowers and butterflies are a symbol of life, both fragile and strong. The black, stark contrasting elements, are a metaphor for its counterpart: the void of death. This ominous presence acts as a reminder: life is precious and should be cherished in any of its moments, even the darkest ones.
The decision to showcase “Happy Nightmares” with small-sized prints adds an intimate dimension to the viewing experience. By scaling down the prints, the viewer is drawn closer to the details of each piece. This deliberate choice encourages a more focused and personal interaction with the artwork. The smaller format, in a wide and tall environment, prompts viewers to lean in, fostering a sense of intimacy that amplifies the emotional message of the exhibition.
