    Soft Power

Embracing ‘consumerism‘ and ‘materiality’ as the core of our shared global culture, Ali Khan explores themes of contemporary masculinity and geo-political power dynamics through the lens of ‘Post Pop Culture’. As an artist of color working on a global stage, the work further aims to shed light on the far-reaching influence of American Pop Culture and how it manifests in societies across the world.
Whether loved, cherished or hated, the artist does not aim to draw conclusions through his work stressing the need for diverse opinions, pluralism and multiculturalism to stand against narratives of conformity and encouraging the viewer to draw conclusions by bringing their own feelings and lived experiences.
The exhibition brings together over 20 of his ‘never seen before’ works of art ranging from photography to small objects that blur the lines between fashion, luxury and art.

Ali Khan is a Doha based artist whose award-winning works has been exhibited in New York and London and are part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Art in Nelson, New Zealand. As a co-founder of ‘Le Fool Collective’ his work aims to highlight critical thinking and promote collective awareness of the contemporary issues facing our world.
“At this moment, more than ever, we must raise a voice of diverse opinions, pluralism and multiculturalism to stand against mainstream narratives of conformity and herd mentality to push the conversation forward even it might be uncomfortable or controversial at times.”
