CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the International Exhibition, “Drawing Now 2024.” We are open to digital drawings, animated/moving drawings, video documentation of drawing performance, interactive drawings, drawings on paper and mixed media, physical prints, and 3 dimensional drawings.

Selected works will be printed on A3 (297 x 420 mm) foam poster board, and installed by our curators & assistants. If requested by the artist, works can be printed and framed in different sizes. Additional fees may apply. If a special printing process is required, the artist may print and frame the works, and ship them to us. Please refer to the “physical works” guidelines below.
-Animated/Moving Drawings/Documentations of Drawing Performances
We will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players for the show. Multiple single-channel works will be screened through a projector. If the work is required to be screened through a projector exclusively, or more than two projectors/monitors are needed, please indicate the special requirements in the submission email. Additional fees may apply.
-Drawings on Paper and Mixed Media/Physical Prints/3 Dimensional Drawings (Physical Works)
The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her physical work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.

*How to submit your work:
– Please send us up to 3 direct links to video and/or up to 5 JPG images (100-500KB recommended), and your bio. Please email them to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.”
– Please write “Submission: Drawing Now 2024– Category – Artist’s Name” in the subject line of your email.
If the artwork is selected, the artist will need to contribute $75 (USD) per piece to cover the show processing and maintenance expenses.

CICA 미술관 국제전 “Drawing Now 2024”에 참여하실 아티스트들을 공모합니다. 본 국제전은 디지털 드로잉, 영상 드로잉, 인터렉티브 드로잉, 드로잉 퍼포먼스 영상, 종이 또는 믹스미디어 드로잉, 판화, 입체 드로잉 작품을 전시 예정입니다.

*작품의 설치
– 2D 디지털 드로잉
선정된 작품은 A3 (297 x 420 mm) 폼보드 출력되며 CICA 미술관 큐레이터와 전시 스태프가 설치합니다. 다른 사이즈 또는 특수 인화의 경우 작가님이 직접 인쇄 및 프레이밍을 진행하실 수 있으며 이 경우 아래 “물리적 작품” 가이드라인을 참고해 주시기 바랍니다.
– 영상 드로잉/드로잉 퍼포먼스 영상
전시를 위한 프로젝터, DVD/DIVX 플레이어 등이 지원되며 작품은 CICA 미술관의 큐레이터들이 작가님의 가이드라인에 따라 작품을 설치 예정입니다. 작품의 수송에서 발생하는 비용은 작가가 부담합니다. 몇 점의 싱글 채널 비디오 작품들이 한 프로젝터에서 상영될 예정입니다. 작품이 하나의 프로젝터에서 단독으로 설치되어야 하는 경우, 또는 두 대 이상의 프로젝터나 모니터를 필요로 하는 작품의 경우 추가 비용이 발생할 수 있습니다.
– 종이 또는 믹스미디어 드로잉, 판화, 입체 드로잉 (물리적 작품)
작품의 수송에서 발생하는 비용은 작가가 부담합니다. 평면 작업의 경우 최대 1 m × 1 m의 작품을, 설치 작업의 경우 최대 1m x 1m x 2m (w x l x h) 이하의 작품을 공모하실 수 있습니다. 벽에 설치하는 작품의 경우 최대 10 kg까지 가능합니다. 그 외 사이즈의 작품의 전시를 원하실 경우 지원 이메일에 명시하여 주시기 바랍니다.
