Nomad in the cities
We are like self-imposed prisoners limited in the city, and there is always a voice reminding you of reality, which distracts you from what you talk to yourself. A kind of voice, a kind of hint, sometimes calls me to change. With a fearless mind, I hope I can explore unknown streets and stay out of the comfort zone in the city without compromise. Being a nomad with a free soul wandering between dreams and chaos.
I am a slash-artist with multiple roles, one hand for doing my artworks, the other hand for teaching, both feet stepping on the earth, and carrying my little baby daughter. I freely use different materials for experiments, such as hand- drawing, sculpture, digital animation and writing. With my suitcase traveling from Taiwan to any corner of the world, I use art creation to transform those sceneries in my life journey into poetic pictures, and also combining with my life growth context into my artworks. I choose ” video poem” to record my life scenarios, through hand-drawing, words, and digital painting, from micro to macro perspective, therefore, I interpret those memories recorded from my self-journey road into meaningful sceneries in my mind. Between moving on and off in my journey, I read the very memorable moment of my life and my video poem flowing with the time.
