Call for Papers

CICA Museum invites creative writers, scholars, and artists worldwide to participate in the 10th CICA New Media Art Conference 2026 and publication. We welcome proposals for paper presentations, workshops, experimental sessions, and artistic performances.

Accepted contributors will have the opportunity to present and exchange ideas with peers. Please note that all presenters are required to register and attend the conference in person. Presenters and exhibitors who participate on-site will be featured in the book “New Media Art 2027,” scheduled for publication in December 2026. The book will be distributed through major bookstores in Korea and made available internationally via the CICA Press website.

* How to submit:

-Please submit an abstract (300–600 words) along with a short bio by email to submission@cicamuseum.com.
-The preferred file formats are DOC and PDF (maximum 12 pages).
-Please use the following subject line in your email: “Submission: CICA NMAC 2026 – Presenter – [Artist/Researcher’s Name]”
***Submissions in ZIP format cannot be accepted.

* Timeline:
October 30, 2025: Close submissions
November 5 – 30, 2025: Approvals: Selected artists will be notified by email.
June 27 – 29, 2026: CICA NMA Conference 2026
December 15, 2026: Expected publication date of “New Media Art 2027”

Call for Exhibitions

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the Solo Exhibition Series for the 10th CICA New Media Art Conference 2026 and publication. Selected artists will be given a solo exhibition in the gallery space, with approximately 44 square meters assigned to each artist. During the conference week, “CICA NMAC 2026 Showcase: Group Exhibition by NMAC Exhibitors” will also be held, showcasing one work from each exhibitor for conference attendees and visitors. All accepted artists and researchers will have the opportunity to present and discuss their work with peers.

Please note that all exhibitors are required to register and attend the conference in person. Presenters and exhibitors who participate on-site will be featured in the book New Media Art 2027, scheduled for publication in December 2026. The book will be distributed through major bookstores in Korea and will also be available internationally via the CICA Press website.

*How to submit your work:
– Please send us up to 10 portfolio images and/or up to 3 direct links to video/web/interactive art, your artist statement, and bio. Please email them to submission@cicamuseum.com.
–The preferred file formats are JPG (recommended size: 100–500 KB per image), DOC, and PDF (maximum 12 pages).
– Please use the following subject line in your email: “Submission: CICA NMAC 2026 – Exhibitor – [Artist/Researcher’s Name]”

2026년 제 10회 CICA 뉴 미디어 아트 국제 콘퍼런스에서 전 세계 뉴 미디어 아티스트, 학자, 미술 애호가들을 초청하여 뉴 미디어 아트와 문화를 향유하고, 지역 주민과 미술인, 학자들이 어우러져 창의력과 문화 기술 혁신을 공유하는 국제적인 장을 마련하고자 합니다. 본 행사는 영어로 진행됩니다. 선정된 “Exhibitor” 부문 작가는 등록 후 참여가 확정되며, 콘퍼런스 세션에서 발표에 참여하게 됩니다. 행사 기간 중 개인전 시리즈에 참여하시게 되며, 작가 당 44㎡ (약 12평)의 개인전 공간이 주어집니다. 또한 콘퍼런스 행사 주간에는 “CICA NMAC 2026 Showcase” 그룹전이 열릴 예정이며, NMAC 개인전 참여 작가들의 작품을 소개할 예정입니다. Exhibitor 당 한 작품을 전시 가능합니다. 컨퍼런스에 직접 참여하여 발표하신 작가는 2026년 12월 발매 예정인 서적 “New Media Art 2027”에 영문 수록되며, 한국 주요 서점 및 미국 아마존을 통해 만나보실 수 있습니다.

– 포트폴리오 형식: 디지털 이미지, 영상 링크, 또는 온라인 포트폴리오 링크
– 이미지는 JPG 형식으로 최대한 10장까지 보내실 수 있습니다. 한 이미지 당 100-700 킬로바이트 이내를 권장합니다. 또는 12페이지 이내 PDF 파일로 제출 가능합니다.
– 영상 작품의 경우 Youtube 또는 Vimeo 등 영상 사이트에 업로드 하신 후 링크를 공유해 주세요. 영상 및 웹 아트는 최대한 3작품까지 보내실 수 있습니다.
