Wheel of Fortune
Bohan Liu is an artist, martial arts practitioner, and computer programmer. Inspired by the game interface of the 2000s, she practices her cognition of spatiality driven by the image she sees and feels in her daily meditation, Taichi practice, and rituals in the form of pixel art.
Bohan was born in Changchun, China, and currently is working and living in Chicago, USA.
She holds a BFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA degree from the University of Chicago. Her works have been included in TATE ETC., Nouvelles d’Europe, Kitchen Table Quarterly, Prisma Art Prize, and the Radical Notion. She held her solo exhibition in the Hüten Gallery and was included in group exhibitions from Part Crowd Gallery, London Design Festival, Matchbox Art Space & China Academy, and Institut für Alles Mögliche.
