Statement
Everything is dark and must be violently black and white so much there will be a theatrical contrast during scenes with color.

Have you ever felt like you are holding onto a cliff. Its like… your trying to survive… holding on to a cliff. Your body… You somehow put yourself where your weight is against gravity … its too late to blame…
(Lights up

Serenity…
I forgot what… but i know what i need is serenity. Although … what… maybe… i am feeling what maybe… it’s a feeling that is going against at all odds with everyone’s understandings of humanity .. but what if… what i think… the point of what i … what I am taught is to (Knife enters and stabs puppet)
시시각각 변할 수 있는 사람의 Perspective(관점)에서 생겨나는 모순을, 불안감을 희망적으로 정당화 시키는 순간(moment)을, 큐비즘(cubism) 그리고 다다(dada)에서 받은 영감으로 deconstruct(해체) 하여 surrealism 초현실주의를 동경하는 사람으로서 오브제, 영상을 현실화 시키도록 실하하고 공간(space)을 제시(suggest)했습니다.
TITLE (제목) : 달리 닮은(Irony ironic)
Hye Young Chyun is an Experimental Theater Artist based in South Korea and NYC. Her main focus is acting, building, puppet and mask design, and a wide range of production assistance.
As a performer, Hye Young received her bachelors from Mount Holyoke College and masters from Sarah Lawrence College and then became an active member of ‘The Bats’ – the resident acting company at The Flea Theater in NYC.
Hye Young Chyun is also blessed to have experience in all fields in theater, and believes that we evolve as artists by working from every perspective. She has experience working in electrics – hanging lights, spotlight operating – as well as in props, stage management, and design.
Hye Young is excited to be back in South Korea, and is thrilled to be pursuing theater arts globally.
전혜영(공연기획, 무대감독, 디자인감독, 연기자, 극작가) 연극으로는 표현할 수 없는 행위 예술 분야에 관심을 갖고 연극의 다양한 관점을 가진 업무들을 13년째 미국에서 무작위로 경험하며 지냈습니다.

혼자 일하는걸 좋아하면서 같이 일하는 공동체의 소속 하에 협동을 중요시하는 경험을 주로 해 왔기 때문에 첫 개인전의 의미를 찾을 수 있게 되어 기쁩니다. 그리고 CICA 미술관을 통해 한국에서 첫 개인 전시회를 경험하게 되어 기쁩니다.
저의 첫 개인전의 증인이 되어주셔서 고맙습니다.
