“CICA 아트 페스티벌 2024”에 참여하실 아티스트 및 디자이너분들을 모집합니다. 본 행사는 아티스트의 작품 및 제작품을 일반 관람객이 바로 구매할 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로써 예술에 대한 이해 증진과 예술 작품 구매의 대중화를 위해 기획되었습니다. 폭넓은 관객에게 다가가기 위하여 본 행사는 오프라인 마켓과 온라인 마켓을 병행하여 진행 예정입니다. 선정 작가는 참가비 납부 후 참여가 확정됩니다. 페스티벌 기간 중 관객은 무료 입장 가능하며, 관람객들을 위한 실내외 이벤트 및 퍼포먼스 등 다채로운 행사가 함께 기획될 예정입니다.

*공간 배정:
본 행사는 작가가 직접 설치 또는 미술관 측에 설치 요청을 하실 수 있습니다. 선정된 작가가 행사 등록을 마치고 참여가 확정되면 직접 작품 설치를 선택한 작가에게 공간 배정 안내를 보내드릴 예정입니다.
*제작품 및 작품 설치
– 작가가 직접 설치 시
약 2 x 2 x 3 m (w x l x h)의 공간이 주어지며, 진열대 설치 등 해당 공간 내에서 자유롭게 설치 가능합니다. 공간에 따라 크기에 약간의 차이가 있을 수 있습니다. 작가 별 공간 사이는 테이핑으로 구분합니다 (칸막이 없음). 작품의 수송에서 발생하는 비용은 작가가 부담합니다. 작품 설치는 2024년 11월 12일에 진행되며, 배정된 공간 내에서 작가가 자유롭게 설치 가능합니다. 설치를 위한 진열대, 파티션 및 도구는 작가가 직접 가져와 설치합니다. 설치 시 허용 가능한 도구 및 불가한 도구/재료 등은 추후 선정 작가에게 안내될 예정입니다.
– 미술관 측에 설치 요청 시
작품의 수송에서 발생하는 비용은 작가가 부담합니다. 회화 및 조각 작품은 총 5작품까지 전시 가능합니다. 벽에 거는 작품의 경우 최대 1×1 m 이내, 조각의 경우 최대 1x1x1m 이내 작품을 전시하실 수 있습니다. 서적, 제작품, 의류 등의 경우 모든 제품을 포장한 상자의 부피가 48x38x34 cm 이내 한 박스에 한해 전시 및 판매 가능하며, 제작품은 한 곳에 별도로 전시 및 판매될 예정입니다.
해외 작가의 경우 미술관 측에 디지털 작품의 인화 및 프레이밍 진행 가능하며, 인화 사이즈를 알려주시면 견적을 보내드립니다. 영상 작품의 경우 상세 정보를 알려주시면 장비 대여 견적 안내 드리도록 하겠습니다. 전문적 지식 또는 30분 이상의 설치를 요하는 인터렉티브 아트, 뉴 미디어 아트 및 설치 작품의 경우 작가가 직접 설치해야 하며, 이 경우 등록 서식에서 “작가가 직접 설치”를 선택해 주시기 바랍니다.
미술관 측에 설치 및 철수를 요청하실 경우 기존 등록비와 설치 비용 $100 USD (138,000원)을 함께 납부 후 진행 가능합니다.
*제작품 및 작품 판매:
제작품 및 작품 판매는 행사기간 동안 현장 및 온라인에서 판매 예정입니다. 행사 기간 내 현장에서 판매된 작품 및 제품에 대한 미술관 측 커미션은 없습니다. 온라인 판매 참여는 옵션이며, 온라인 판매 시 미술관 측 커미션은 25%입니다. 판매 시 발생하는 세금 및 수익신고의 책임은 작가 본인에게 있습니다.

Call for Artists: CICA Art Festival 2024
CICA Museum invites artists and designers worldwide to participate in “CICA Art Festival 2024.” The “CICA Art Festival 2024” aims to offer the public more chances to buy artworks and crafts directly from artists and designers. Both online and onsite selling options will be provided to reach a wider audience. Selected artists will need to contribute a registration fee to confirm their participation. The festival will also feature outdoor events and performances for all guests to enjoy, and guests can expect to receive complimentary tickets for entry to the festival.

*Space Assignment:
The artist can choose to install their own works or request us to do it. After the artist registers for the event and their participation is confirmed, we will provide the assigned space information to those artists who opt to install their works independently.
*Installation of Artworks, Crafts and Products
– If the artist chooses to visit the museum and install the artwork personally:
Each artist will be allocated a space measuring 2 meters in width, 2 meters in length, and 3 meters in height. Artists are free to install their works within their designated space. The size of each space may vary slightly depending on the room. Taped lines will be used to divide each artist’s section.
The artist can install their works in the assigned space freely and should bring their tools, tables, and partitions if necessary. They are responsible for shipping and delivering their physical work to and from CICA Museum, along with all related expenses. Detailed installation guidelines will be sent to the participating artists.
-If the artist requests the museum to install the works:
The artist is responsible for shipping and delivering their physical work to and from CICA Museum, covering all related expenses. We can display up to 5 works for paintings and sculptures. Two-dimensional pieces should not exceed 39 inches (1 m) on the longest side, while installation pieces should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, width x length x height). Products, publications, and clothing can all be packed in a single box no larger than 48x38x34 cm. Once shipped to us, they will be separately set up for sale.
For international artists who cannot visit the museum, they can request us to print and frame their works. If the artist provides us with the quantity, size, and detailed information, we will send them a cost estimate. We also offer a device rental service for international artists working abroad; kindly inform us for an estimate. For Interactive Art, New Media Art, and Installation Art that necessitate specialized installation exceeding 30 minutes, the artist must personally visit the museum to install the works. In such cases, please select “the artist chooses to visit the museum and install by themselves” on the registration form.
The artist who requests the museum to install the works will need to contribute $100 for installation/dismantling costs.
*Selling of Works:
The artist or their assistant will be at the exhibition to sell their works directly to buyers. We do not charge any commission for sold works or products. Online sales will be available during the event, and participation is optional. If your art or product sells, we will take a 25% commission. The artist will be responsible for the tax report if they make a profit.
*How to submit your work:
– Please send us up to 3 direct links to video and/or up to 5 JPG images (100-500 kilobytes per image recommended), and your bio. Please email them to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.”
– Please write “Submission: CICA Art Festival 2024 – Your Name” in the subject line of your email.
If the artist is invited, s/he will be required to pay the registration fee to confirm his/her participation: $100 (USD).
